The students, "Black Belts" of Ryu-Kyu have different weapons to choose from to study; traditional weapons and modern weapons.

*Note: In today's world modern weapons are today's Kobujutso and must be studied as traditional weapons.



Swat training day with the Franklin County Swat Team. The Ryu-Kyu Christian Karate
students help out the team with emergency rescue in school settings. They learned a lot by training with the Swat team, and the team members enjoyed the spirit of the karate students. The following teachers and students helped the Swat team train: Zack Chinn, Katie Chinn, Lea Chinn, Rachael Chinn and Greg Merz.

Last is Earl Smith Jr., an instructor with the Ryu-Kyu and one of the team commanders for the Swat team.


US Army Special Forces Green Beret, Sargent Major Clair Butch Betzko and Kelly Keys enjoying a day in the field as a sniper team.
